Clarifications on Assessment Accommodation The KSDE has sent out clarifications on allowable accommodations on the State Assessment. It can be read here. Instructions on Changing an IEP Meeting Date in WebKIDSS If you are the primary provider for a student whose IEP date has been changed you need to update the Student's current IEP with the correct date. Instruction on how to do so can be found here. Infinitec Workshop There will be a Infinitec Workshop on February 15th at the NCKSEC office in Phillipsburg. More information and the registration form can be found here. New OT, PT, SLP and RN Medicaid Logs The new medicaid logs are up on the Certified Page under the Medicaid heading. Attendant Care Medicaid Log The Attendant Care Medicaid Log has been added to the Certified and Para pages. Medicaid Random Moment Time Samples Procedures for administering the Medicaid Random Moment Time Samples have been posted on the Certified page under the "Links" section. NCKSEC Professional Leave Procedures Professional Leave must be approved through the PDP Toolbox prior to the event you are attending or you will not be reimbursed for your expenses. If you do not receive approval within 48 hours after the submission, please contact Joyce or call (785) 543-2149 to confirm that your request was received. The Kansas Alternative Assessment Any teacher giving the Kansas Alternate Assessment ( KAA ) during this school year must contact Anita Palmer with the name and grade level for each student taking the KAA. Please do this as soon as possible so additional training can be provided. Early Learning: Guidelines and Standards Certified staff with students between the ages of three and five can find the Early Learning: Guidelines and Standards on the certified page under the links section. New Literacy Resource For Instructing Disabled Students The KNEA has released a new resource for special education teachers entitled ”Literacy References and Websites for students with Severe Cognitive Disabilities”. PDP Personal Development Goals Due All certified staff who haven't submitted their PDP Personal Development Goals need to do so immediately.
