Transition Consultant
I have been a special education teacher for 18 years with NCKSEC but this is my third year working as a Transition Consultant for them. Prior to that, I taught at Eastern Heights (Agra/Kirwin) for 7 years as a regular education teacher. I received my bachelor's and master's degrees from Fort Hays State University.
I am married to Clark (farms in the Long Island/Almena area) and have six grandchildren, four children, two son-in-laws and one daughter-in-law. Chelsea and Sam, along with their son and daughter, Seth and Shea, live in Colby. Chelsea teaches Spanish at Oakley H.S. and Sam is an optometrist at Funk Optometry. Courtney, Andy, Finley, Sawyer and Baylor reside in Ottawa with their two dogs. Courtney is a pharmacist who works from home and Andy is the Director of Enrollment Management at Ottawa University. Conor and Melanie with their daughter, Cassidy, work on the family farm. Caitlyn is a first year student at KU Med working on her doctorate in Physical Therapy.
Some of my hobbies are coaching/watching volleyball and reading, along with spending time with my family any chance I have.
